Short films that show the whole journey — from the first worry in the mirror to walking out with a hairline that's yours.
From template to hairline — How a hair system is built: template, hair match, base, knotting and the final cut.
A client's story — From the morning mirror to walking out of Waves Lifestyle — one client's hair-system journey.
Six bases. One is yours.
The base is the foundation the hair is knotted into. It decides how natural the hairline looks, how it breathes, and how long it lasts.
Full Lace — Hair hand-tied into fine Swiss lace across the whole base. The most natural hairline you can wear. Best for: Hot weather, active lifestyle, swept-back styles
French Lace — A slightly stronger lace than Swiss — almost as invisible, noticeably tougher for daily wear. Best for: First-time wearers who want lace realism
Thin Skin (Poly) — An ultra-thin polyurethane membrane that looks like scalp and bonds cleanly. Easiest to fit and clean. Best for: Full coverage, crisp parting, quick re-bonds
Monofilament — A fine mesh with a reinforced perimeter. Hair can be parted any way and the base holds its shape. Best for: Longest life, natural crown and parting
Hybrid — Lace at the front for an invisible hairline, skin at the sides and back for strong, easy bonding. Best for: Most men — realism up front, toughness behind
Full Cap Wig — A complete cap worn without adhesive — slips on, adjusts with straps, comes off at night. Best for: Total hair loss, medical hair loss, no-glue preference
Four measurements. Zero guesswork.
Front to nape — From your natural hairline, over the crown, to the nape of the neck.
Circumference — Around the head: hairline, above the ears, across the nape and back.
Ear to ear — From the top of one ear, over the crown, to the other.
Temple to temple — Around the back of the head, between the two temple points.
From template to hairline.
Consult — We study your hair-loss area, hairline shape and style goals.
Template — A cling-film and tape mould of your scalp, marked with your hairline.
Hair match — Colour, texture, curl and grey percentage matched to your own hair.
Base build — The chosen base is cut and shaped exactly to your template.
Knotting — Hair is hand-ventilated strand by strand at your chosen density.
Cut & style — Fitted on you, then cut and blended into your natural hair.
Ready-stock units: same-day fitting when your size is in stock. Custom builds: lead time confirmed at your consultation.
Real hair. Right direction.
Remy hair keeps every cuticle facing root-to-tip, the way it grew. That's why it moves, shines and tangles like your own.
Cuticle direction — Remy human hair: Aligned root-to-tip; Non-Remy human hair: Mixed, acid-stripped; Synthetic fibre: No cuticle
Natural movement — Remy human hair: Moves and falls like your own; Non-Remy human hair: Good when new; Synthetic fibre: Stiffer, can look shiny
Heat styling — Remy human hair: Yes — dryer, iron, wax; Non-Remy human hair: Yes, with care; Synthetic fibre: Low heat or none
Colouring — Remy human hair: Can be dyed and toned; Non-Remy human hair: Limited; Synthetic fibre: Not dyeable
Tangling over time — Remy human hair: Minimal; Non-Remy human hair: Increases as coating wears off; Synthetic fibre: Frizzes with friction
Overall life — Remy human hair: Longest; Non-Remy human hair: Medium; Synthetic fibre: Shortest
Fitting day, step by step.
Medical tape — Double-sided tape strips around the perimeter. Clean, quick to remove, gentle on skin. Holds: about 1–2 weeks
Liquid adhesive — A skin-safe bonding glue for a near-invisible edge. Our go-to for skin and hybrid bases. Holds: about 2–4 weeks
Clips & straps — Small pressure clips fastened to your existing hair. Removable every night. Holds: daily on / off
Prep — Trim or shave the bonding area and clean the scalp of oil.
Position — Align the unit to your hairline and mark the bond points.
Bond — Apply tape or adhesive and press the base down from the front back.
Blend cut — Cut the system into your own hair so there is no line.
Style & teach — Final style, plus a walk-through of your home-care routine.
How long it lasts.
Typical lifespan by base, with proper care. Daily wear, sweat and Dhaka's humidity sit at the shorter end — good aftercare pushes you to the longer one.
Thin skin (poly): 1–3 months
Lace / French lace: 3–6 months
Hybrid: 4–8 months
Monofilament: 6–12 months
Every 2–4 weeks — Re-bond service: remove, clean the base and scalp, re-apply.
Every 2–3 months — Colour refresh and blend-cut as your own hair grows around it.
Keep a spare — Rotating two units roughly doubles the life of each.
Treat it like it's yours.
Daily: Wide-tooth comb only — start at the ends, work up
Daily: Light water-based styling products
Daily: Pat sweat dry; don't rub the hairline
Daily: Sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase
Weekly: Wash 1–2× in lukewarm water with sulphate-free shampoo
Weekly: Condition mid-length to ends, never the knots
Weekly: Air-dry on a wig stand or towel
Weekly: Leave-in conditioner to keep hair soft
Avoid: Hot water and hot blow-dry on the base
Avoid: Chlorine and salt water without a cap
Avoid: Oil on the base — it breaks the bond
Avoid: Pulling the unit off without remover
